Cleaning & Care

Before First Use

• Disassemble, wash, and sterilise all parts except the electric motor before first use.

Cleaning Instructions

• Wash the collection cup, chamber, chamber cover, inner shield, flange, and air valve in warm soapy water (below 30°C).

• Rinse thoroughly and allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling.

• The electric motor is NOT washable — DO NOT submerge in water.

• To clean the motor, wipe gently with a damp cloth only.

Important Care Notes

• Do NOT use bleach-based cleaning agents.

• Do NOT use abrasive cleaners, thinners, or solvents on any part of the pump.

Sterilising Instructions

• The collection cup, chamber, chamber cover, inner shield, flange, and air valve can be sterilised using:

– A steam sterilising system, or

– Boiling in water for 2–3 minutes

• Do NOT submerge, rinse under running water, or use heat or liquid sterilisation methods on the pump motor.

⚠️ Warning

• NEVER wash or sterilise the pump motor.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight.

Warranty & Support

• Haakaa warrants this product to the original consumer purchaser (“the purchaser”) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions.

• This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Warranty Period

• The electric pump motor is covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase.

Warranty Will Be Void If the Product Is:

• Misused, abused, or altered

• Used for commercial purposes

• Sold or transferred to another person

• Used with non-Haakaa replacement parts

• Improperly or incorrectly maintained or repaired

• Used in ways that violate product instructions (e.g. submerging the motor in water or using improper sterilisation methods)

Limitation of Liability

• Haakaa shall not be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use or failure of this product.

• Acceptance of a warranty claim does not alter or waive this exclusion.
